Dan Gant(1st) and Andrew
Brimhall(SS) lead a 10th grade class that is one of the best this small
school has seen for a while. Dan lead the team in home runs as a freshman
and looks to be doing more of the same this year. Brimhall, who split time
at short stop last year, is a great defensive anchor for this team and is
one of
those players who will never quit. (10) Mark Reed (OF/P)is one of two
returning juniors to our team. In the past two years he has shown night
and day improvement as a player and we are excited to see what this season
holds. (11) Justin Hopper(P), Zach Clark(OF), and Will Wilson(3rd/2nd) are
our returning seniors. Hopper has been our best pitcher for the past two
years and we are wanting to see him finish strong. Zach loves this game
and this team. If ever there was a heart to FACS baseball, it is him.
Wilson was a big lift to us last season and will be coming back as a
senior this year. He was a good all around player last year and we expect
even better from him this year.
Our key for success this season is simple--Play with confidence
consistently. We are a small school and playing against the talent in our
region is a difficult task. However, if we can play consistent ball and
play with confidence we should have a good season for FACS baseball.

We have the most experience that I have had at Briarcrest. We hope to have
a chance to contend for region title and state championship this season.
We have some pitching depth and more hitters in the lineup. The keys
to our success is team chemistry and staying injury free. |
