| Steve Cornelison - " Motlow is an extremely talented team with a big time pitching staff. Coach Rhoton always has a team that plays very hard and is pre-pared. This is a big series for us. We have to do a better job of pitching. We are playing better defen- sively, scoring enough runs to win. We just haven't been able to make the big pitch on a consistent basis and that's the difference between 4-8 and 8-4.." |
Don Rhoton - "Jackson
has struggled much like we have in conference play. They have played well at
Motlow in the past, so that has to be a concern. The winner of our series has a chance of getting some positive momentum. The loser is in serious trouble. Our team has played very poorly in all phases of the game. Actually our concern is more on ourselves than Jackson. If you can't catch it, hit it, or throw it, then does it matter who the opponent is. What can we do to play better is a mystery that at this time we have not figured out. But I am looking forward to seeing Coach Cornelison and his team. He is always fun to compete against." |
