| Lance Knight - "Coach Ray will have his guys prepared to play this weekend. They are coming off some positive momentum where they have been pitching well and swinging the bats well, and at this point in the season, momentum is huge for your ball club. It is always a great series when we play Southwest and I like how their guys play the game. OUR TEAM MUST - Refocus. We are coming off a bye-weekend that followed us getting swept the week before, so we need to refocus on doing the little things right, because that is where we have found success. We cannot afford to make mistakes, especially against a team like Southwest, because we don't have the firepower to overcome those mistakes. The pressure of the last month of the conference season is now on, where every pitch, every hit, every run, and every mistake can be magnified, and with a freshman domi-nated team, can we handle that pressure?" | Johnny Ray - "As we prepare for Hiwassee, it is very important that we are ready for a team that will flat get after you. Lance will no doubt have his guys play-ing with a lot of emotion and enthusiasm. Hiwassee is a team that will do all the little things well and they will not beat themselves. We must continue to play opportunistic baseball. If we continue to sacrifice offensive statistics for the betterment of the team goals, then we will have a chance to stay in the hunt for a top five seed. I do not doubt that we will play hard the entire series and each game will come down to the wire. Our starters must give us every-thing they have and rely on guys to come from the bullpen and give us quality appearances." | ||||||

Series Highlights -
Southwest did an outstanding job of coming
back and winning the series after losing the opener on Friday. Both starting
pitchers for Southwest did an excellant job of shutting down Hiwassee
offensively. Both games on Saturday were close early and Hiwassee made some
key mistakes which allowed SW to open the flood gates offensively
