| Lance Knight - " Walters State is the most talented group of young men in our league. Their offense is the type that if you make a mistake they make you pay, and on the mound they are going to come right at you and challenge hitters. It is a tough mountain to climb trying to win games against Walters State, especially when they are at home. Play our game. We don't have the talent to get into a slugfest with them. We have to stay aggressive in all aspects of the game and play solid defense. Our three starters must pitch smart and locate in order to be successful. Bottom line, we just have to go out on the field and play the game the right way. " | Ken Campbell - " Lance has done an outstanding job this year. I think they came out and surprised a lot of people and have now set themselves up with a shot to finish in 2nd place in our league. We know this will be a battle all weekend long as they put a ton of pressure on you from an offensive standpoint and have one of the top pitchers in our league in Ruggles. We must play fundamental defensively and not make mistakes. They are the type of team that will kill you if you give them extra outs. You always have to control their running game or they will run you to death. We must get good performances from our starting pitching and continue to swing the bats the way we have thus far." | ||||||
