Mike
Ritz
- Mike has coached HS baseball for 38 years and is now at Dobyns-Bennett
HS (last 23 years) in Kingsport. Ritz currently has a overall win-loss
record of 853-322. He is currently 11th best in the nation for most wins.
An inductee to the Lincoln Memorial University Hall of Fame, Mike is
currently 18th overall and 11th amongst active coaches in wins. |

Jeff
Hopkins - Coach Hopkins has coached at Jackson State CC, University of
Memphis and is now at Collierville HS. He has amassed more than 600 wins
in his career. "What you do, speaks so loudly I can't hear you!"
Coached 13 years at JSCC and 8 years at Memphis. Also named to the Memphis
Amateur Athletics Hall of Fame. |

Jack
Powell - Jack has been in MLB scouting since 1974 working for
Cincinnati, NY Mets, Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and now the Minnesota
Twins. Jack helps the TBCA run the Showcase event in June and with Sunbelt
nominations, etc. In additon, Jack has refereed TSSAA Football for 38
years and has worked 4 championship games and in his spare time has been a
firefighter for 20 years. |

Class AAA - Tommy Pharr of Farragut In 11 years at Farragut, Coach Pharr has an overall record of 398-96. The Admirals have won 9 district and region titles and been to the state tournament 9 times, winning 4 times and being runner-up 3 times. In 2003, he was named NHSBCA National Coach of the Year. |

Class AA - Richie Estep of Goodpasture
In his 8th year as a head coach at Goodpasture, Coach Estep is 270-68. The Cougars have won the district 8 years in a row and have been to the state tournament 6 years in a row, winning 3 times. This is the third time he has been named TBCA Coach of the Year (04, 07). |

A - Chuck Cooper of Jackson Christian School
The first year head coach got off to a great start by winning a state championship with a 33-11 record. Coach Cooper was an assistant for 5 years before taking the helm. |

AA - Buddy Alexander of
Brentwood Academy
Head Coach at Brentwood Academy for 14 years, Coach Alexander has lead the Eagles to 7 state tournament appearances including a runner-up and two championships(1997/208). His overall record is 306-171. |

II A - Al Stevens of Harding AcademyCoach Stevens coached 3 years at Bishop Byrne and the last 7 at Harding. He lead Harding to the state tournament in 2004 and to the school's first state title last year. |

John
Daigle - John is the General Manager and Director of
Operations at USA Stadium in
Millington, TN. Mr. Daigle has served as tournament director for 25
national championships as well as Conference USA, Gulf South Conference
and the Service Academy Classic. He began working with our first member of
the TBCA HOF, Babe Howard in 1990 and has been instrumental in bringing
championship events to the stadium. Since 1993 USA Stadium has held the
NJCAA Division II World Series. |

| Todd Helton/Pro Line Cap Player of the Year | |||
| Seth Lintz of Marshall County HS - Seth couldn't attend as he is currently in Arizona working out for his first full professional baseball season. His parents accepted the award on his behalf. Seth went 9-0 with 143K in 66 innings pitched. He walked on 23 batters all season and his era was exceptional at 0.84. His career record on the mound was 28-4. | |||

Michael
Williams of Farragut
- Williams led the Admirals from behind the dish hitting
.406 with 10 home runs and 45 rbi. According to his coach, he was "the
glue of the team." Signed with the University of Kentucky. |

| Jacob Stallings of Brentwood Academy - Jacob led the Eagles to the title in 08 as a pitcher and catcher. He couldn't attend as he is was practicing in Chapel Hill, NC (UNC) this weekend. | |||
| Division II A Player of the Year | |||
Tyler
Hickman of Harding Academy - Tyler hit .432 with 28 rbi and went 4-0,
1.72 in 15 relief appearances. He stepped it up in the state tourney
hitting .636 with 5 rbi to lead Harding to the D2 A state title. |

| Class AA Player of the Year | |||
Adam Adkins of Goodpasture
-
First and only two time winner of this award. Adam also has
another unique distinction and that is he never lost a game on the mound
in his career at Goodpasture. He finished 26-0 (18 complete games) with 227 career strike outs
and a 1.13 era. He went 12-0 last season and hit .375 with 5 home
runs and 47 rbi as well. |

Chase
Presley of Jackson Christian School -
Chase hit .396/4/44 and tied a state champion-ship series record with 4 home
runs. He was named West TN Player of the Year as well as JCS won the
state title last spring. |
