Don Rhoton - "IT'S ALWAYS SPECIAL FOR ME TO GO BACK AND PLAY COLUMBIA STATE AND COACH PAINTER. LAST YEAR HE WASN'T VERY NICE TO US SO HOPEFULLY HE WILL MORE HOSPITABLE THIS YEAR. THE ONLY WAY THAT WE HAVE HAD ANY SUC-CESS THIS SEASON IS THRU PITCHING AND DE-FENSE. THIS IS A SIMPLE KEY FOR US. NATUR-ALLY THIS SERIES IS BIG AS TO WHO WILL MAKE THE TOURNAMENT. NONE OF US CAN AFFORD TO CONTINUE TO ADD GAMES TO THE LOSS COLUMN." Jim Painter - "Motlow is a team that is very similar to us. The winner of this series
will be the team that does the best job on the mound. We must cut down on our errors in key situations during the course of the game to give ourselves the best chance to win."
