McNairy Central         22-9                                1/21

The MCHS baseball team is looking to make it to their first district championship, regional championship, sectional, and state tournament. For the Bobcats to reach that dream, they will need to do a better job of finishing ballgames.

Offensively the Bobcats return 8 Starters.
The returning SENIORS include: Austin Gafford (CF), Blake Chandler (1B, MVP of 14AA), Craig Mullins (SS), Dakota Roden (1B), and Brady Dancer (2B). The returning JUNIORS include Marcus Nash (C), Justin Roberts (C), and Tyler Wells (DH). There are several talented young players that will contribute to the Bobcats offensive this season. They include starting third baseman Matt Chandler (So.), Clay Dancer (So.), B.J. Dickey (So.), Jonathan Nixon (So.), and Chase Smith (Fr.).

The Bobcats return two starting pitchers for the 2012 season. Both Dakota Roden (Sr.) and Blake Chandler (Sr.) are right handed. Others that are contributing to the Bobcats pitching are Brady Dancer (Sr.), Tyler Wells (Jr.), Jacob Mullins (Jr.), Jonathan Nixon (So.), Clay Dancer (So.), B.J. Dickey (So.), and Chase Smith (Fr.).

The defense for the Bobcats will be strong for the coming season. The key to the season will be "if the Bobcats can hit consistently day-in and day-out."
