Cascade   31-10 State Tourney    12/21    014

Cascade is coming off it's best season in school history.  In "07 the Champions shattered the school record for wins they set the year before (23) with 31.  They were 9A season and tourney champions and went to their first ever state tournament after some very tough region and sectional battles with East Robertson (4-2) and Summertown (10-9).  "Replacing great senior leadership will be the toughest task
ahead for seven seniors as they take aim at yet another tough schedule in 2008, we hope to do all the little thing right and build upon our past success,"  Chris Parker said.

Hard nosed prospect SR catcher Zach Hill will handle the pitchers from behind the plate, given the occasional break by SO Kyle Saylor who will also pitch a little. At first base JR Josh Brown and SO Jay Bishop, both pitchers, will battle for time. SO Tyler Bowen is penciled in at second base and may be pushed by FR Christian Edmondson.  Prospects "MoMo" Stewart  (All State) and Justin Bryant, both of which will also pitch and are All 9A performers will play SS and 3B respectively.  Bryant moving over to SS when Stewart pitches. Battling for time at the hot corner when both Bryant and Stewart toe the mound will be SO Blake Harvey and Edmondson. The OF is very solid, full of speed and arms with four SR's: Matt Bain, Corey Mullins (All 9A), Kyle Clanton (All 9A)also a pitcher, and Nick Batts.  All with a great chance
to take their game to the next level.  Also in the mix will be JR Chase Nunley the teams closer and Harvey.  Newcomer SR football RB/DB Timo Murray will bring a  burst of speed and quickness off the bench as the teams curtosy and pinch runner. Returtning players also playing roles are SO's Michael Buck (OF), Drew Thomas (DH), and Ethan Graves (2B).
