Price is right for Milligan Baseball
In his first three seasons, Price has been named AAC-Freshman Player of the Year in 2002 with his .326 (59-181) batting average with seven home runs, 19 doubles, 43 RBIs and 45 runs scored. During his sophomore season, Price helped lead the Buffs to the AAC Tournament championship with his game winning RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning with two outs. During the regular season, Price was second on the team in hitting with .352 (64-182), 47 runs scored, eight home runs and slugging pct. (0.571). In 2004, Price started every game at third base as he led the team in hitting with .416 (77-158), 58 runs scored, 77 hits, 17 doubles, five triples, Milligan record of 14 home runs, 54 RBIs, 32 walks and slugging percentage (0.789). He was voted to the All-AAC team along with earning a spot on the All-Region XII team and honorable mention to the NAIA All-American team. Dustin does damage on and off the baseball field, as he holds a 3.85 GPA in Biology. As the Science Hill High School graduate plans to move on to Physical Therapy graduate school after his baseball career is finished. Price also saw success in summer action. In each of the last three summers, Dustin played for the Tennessee Redbirds/Thunder of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League. He has been selected to the All-Star team in each season. The Buffs look to turn to a strong senior class for their run at the title. Among the leaders for Milligan is Price as he looks to break more Milligan Baseball records. Through his junior year he holds two records (career doubles, 50 and season home runs, 14) and is on the verge of seven career records and could break seven single season records during the 2005 season.
